Biblical Authority

Community

The Bible serves as the ultimate authority in every area of our lives. We believe that the Word is "living and active, sharper than a two-edged sword" (Hebrews 4:12), "useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness" (2 Timothy 3:16), and has the answers to the biggest questions in our world today.

Our key to success is through our willful obedience to God and God alone. We believe that our purpose on this earth is to "fear God and his commandments" (Ecclesiastes 12:13b), to "love because He first loved us" (1 John 4:19), and that "anyone who claims to live in Him must live as Jesus did (1 John 2:6). There is freedom in following God.

Ministry is a calling and a way of life, heeded by following Jesus. We believe that God "through Christ, reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation" (2 Corinthians 5:18). This means that everything that we do for the Lord will be done on purpose, with a purpose, at all times and in all ways.

Biblical community is at the center of how we construct our relationships. We believe there is neither "slave or free, male or female", for we "are all one in Christ Jesus" (Galatians 3:28), from our families and friends to loving our enemies (Matthew 5:44). We do this because of God's deep and loving relationship with us as the church.
